Measures of Success

To improve the effectiveness of our clinical services, we assess each child in specific areas of functioning at the beginning, during and at the conclusion of treatment. We evaluate success in resolving the problems that brought the child and family to us for help. In addition, we ask families to complete satisfaction surveys.
Clinical staff regularly review data from assessments and surveys. Recommendations are made for changes in programs, policy, procedures and staffing to increase the success of our services and the responsiveness of our staff to the needs of the families who come to the Child Guidance Center for help.
Specific measures include:
- Service effectiveness measured by CALOCUS (Child and Adolescent Level of Care Utilization System),
- Service effectiveness measured by DECA-C (Devereux Early Childhood Assessment Program-Clinical),
- Overall functioning measured by the Global Assessment of Functioning,
- Financial performance,
- Consumer satisfaction,
- Referral rates,
- Utilization rates, and
- Measures of productivity.
