Sheroes Young Women’s Philanthropy Group

Stacey Fox, owner of Stacey’s Prom and Formal Wear, poses with members of Sheroes Young Women’s Philanthropic Institute after the 2010 Fashion Show held at the Temple for Performing Arts. Annually, Fox provides formal wear for the event and assists the girls in organizing and producing the project. The group raised $10,000 in support of Orchard Place in 2009.
Sheroes is a group of exceedingly motivated young high school women from the Des Moines metro area. Serving as leaders in the community, they have participated in many benefit events over the past six years. Affiliated with Orchard Place, the past school year Sheroes members spent 450 hours volunteering there as well as places around the Des Moines metro. These young women strive to learn about the importance of philanthropy and volunteerism while raising money for special projects at Orchard Place.
