Integrated Health Program at Orchard Place

620 8th St. •  Des Moines, IA •  50309

The goal of the Integrated Health Program at Orchard Place is for all children facing behavioral and emotional challenges to be successful in their home, at school and in the community.

Mental or emotional problems your child may be facing that will benefit from an Integrated Health Program include:

  • Depression
  • Bipolar Disorder
  • Autism
  • Anxiety
  • OCD
  • ADHD or autism diagnoses can qualify if there is another co-occurring diagnosis such as depression, anxiety, etc.

We know behavior problems and emotional issues can cause stress for entire families. Finding help or even finding the time to find help often seems impossible.

The Orchard Place Integrated Health team finds the best care for your child based on their mental health needs. We work with you to better understand what is going on in your child's life to help find solutions. Your family helps us understand the goals you want met, the involvement needed from the Integrated Health Program, and which care providers will work best based on your child's situation.

We then work with other providers to ensure our services are well matched to help meet your child's emotional, mental, and physical health goals. The Orchard Place Integrated Health Program builds bridges between your child's mental and medical health providers so everyone involved will partner as one team for your child.

An added bonus, in 2017, families served by IHP were invited to spend an evening learning, sharing and meeting with other parents who have children facing similar mental health conditions. Participants of the 'Parents United' group now meet once a month to develop informal supports and understand that the issues facing their families are not uncommon. Parents United is offered for both English and Spanish speaking families. Childcare and dinner are provided. For information on Parents United call 515-256-3450.

Your child is eligible for Orchard Place's Integrated Health Program if your child lives in Polk or Warren County, is 17 years old or younger, has a mental health diagnosis, and may struggle with challenges at home, in school or in the community. All insurance providers are accepted.
