Orchard Place has received a $25,000 gift from Variety – the Children’s Charity last week at its annual grant reception. Variety -the Children's Charity presented grants totaling $2.2 million to 58 central Iowa children's charities at the event.
Funds will be used for exterior renovations of Orchard Place/PACE Juvenile Center located at 620 8th Street in downtown Des Moines. Variety - the Children’s Charity has been a long-time and generous supporter of Orchard Place, and provided major support when the PACE building was purchased 15 years ago, along with many other projects over the years. PACE Juvenile Center served more than 3,000 youth and their families challenged with mental health and behavioral disorders last year.
